"A camera speaks. As we strap it around our neck we strap emotions and feelings along with it, but not with photos but with stories. It carries with it stories of pain, love, friendship, harmony, success, adventures, and sometimes small but significant stories of moments that we often times only photograph without truly remembering why. It satisfies me to know that one day someone will look back at their old photographs and I would have caught them in just the right moment." - Hilda
About MeWhen I grab ahold of my camera I'm in my zone, and I like to radiate my happiness, and genuine love for what I do with every shoot I go on. Whether that's me singing, dancing, rapping or throwing confetti in the air for a thousand times until I get the perfect shot, that's basically me in a nutshell.
Aside from my photography, I write poetry and blog a lot usually videos of my daily life, and funny moments that I can't let slip away. I have an obsession with documenting everything, vintage cameras, J.cole, being loud, Instagram, and not missing a chance to take photos of precious, and nostalgic moments. |
HistoryI began photography when I was 15 years old and received my first digital camera, which now three years later, I have used to capture hundreds of people's lives in perfect instances, that I know mean more than the world. My style in photo taking varies from time to time, but I love raw photographs. Just letting someone take control of what they want to do, and igniting their true selves through the lens of my camera.
Throughout the trajectory of many projects one of my favorites seasons to shoot in is Homecoming, and Prom because it's one of the times that I enjoy reminiscing. It makes me the happiest, when I see all the colors of different dresses, and the anxious girls waiting for their dates to arrive. It's a beautiful, delicate process altogether, (although at times chaotic) the results in the photos are quite charming. |
